This position requires work to be completed on-site at various locations. There is no option for remote work. The setting will typically be in commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will play an essential role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in commercial spaces. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring all areas of the worksite are cleaned, disinfected, and well-maintained. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors in various areas.
- Dusting and cleaning all surfaces, including furniture, office equipment, and countertops.
- Vacuuming carpets, rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to remove dust and debris.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and polishing bathroom and kitchen fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, and appliances.
- Disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, including elevators, door handles, and light switches.
- Handling and reporting any lost and found items to the appropriate personnel.
- Picking up debris, emptying trash containers, and ensuring garbage disposal is conducted correctly.
- Washing windows, walls, ceilings, and other exposed surfaces to maintain cleanliness and appeal.
- Cleaning changing rooms and showers to ensure they are sanitary and safe for users.
Tasks
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing the following tasks efficiently:
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors in designated areas.
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including furniture and workstations.
- Vacuum carpets, area rugs, and upholstered items.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and break rooms.
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins, ensuring waste is properly sorted.
- Wash windows, walls, and ceilings as needed to maintain cleanliness.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly and effectively.
- Good time management skills to complete tasks within deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe practices.
- Understanding of proper cleaning techniques, including sanitization and disinfection.

Education:
No formal education is required, though a high school diploma or equivalent would be an asset.
Experience:

Physical Requirements:

Certifications:
