Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll preparation: Calculate and prepare cheques for employee payroll accurately and promptly.
  • Asset management: Calculate fixed assets and their depreciation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial record-keeping: Establish, maintain, and balance financial records, ensuring the accuracy of various accounts using both manual and computerized systems.
  • Ledger maintenance: Maintain general ledgers, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Journal entries: Post journal entries, ensuring each transaction is recorded in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Financial reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including statistical and accounting information as required.
  • Tax preparation: Prepare tax returns for the company, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
