Overview
JL13, a growing enterprise based in Calgary, AB, needs a Manager of Sales and Marketing to lead their sales team and direct all marketing efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, supervising staff, overseeing project management, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop promotional materials: Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, and digital campaigns.
- Hire, train, and motivate staff: Lead recruitment efforts, train new employees, and inspire the sales and marketing teams to meet performance goals.
- Manage contracts: Negotiate, review, and manage contracts with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Plan and control budgets: Oversee and control the marketing and sales budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize return on investment.
- Maintain digital database: Manage the company’s customer relationship management (CRM) system and ensure accurate data collection and storage.
- Develop business plans: Work with senior management to create and implement strategic business plans that align with the company’s goals.
Tasks
- Create and manage marketing strategies: Develop and implement marketing and advertising campaigns to promote products and services.
- Oversee reports and data analysis: Manage the collection, interpretation, and presentation of sales and marketing data to help make informed business decisions.

- Ensure compliance: Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure that all activities comply with regulations and directives.
- Manage training: Develop and oversee training strategies for staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills necessary to excel in their roles.
- Coordinate projects: Lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of sales and marketing projects and programs.
Qualifications
- Educational background: College diploma or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or business administration.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of success.
